Everything was excellent - central location and excellent service. The room was reasonably spacious and airy with a shower, bathroom, as example. Location: the hotel was so close to the great "Forest of Dean", an eating pub and the restaurant. Plus it was max 0 mins walk to the lake...

We had a fantastic evening meal at the Miners Country Inn. The food was excellent, especially the fish 'n' chips which were the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, accommodating my dietary restrictions. The cozy atmosphere of the inn made for a lovely overnight stay. Despite a minor issue with a creaky floor in the bathroom, the room was clean and tidy. I highly recommend this inn for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The room decoration could use a little updating to make it more appealing.

We loved our stay at this hotel! The value for money was excellent, especially with breakfast included. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they even recommended a great pub nearby for dinner. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to Clearwell Castle where we attended a wedding. The area surrounding the hotel was absolutely beautiful, with fantastic views from our room. The beds were really comfortable and we got a great night's sleep.
That some of the rooms didn't have a shower attachment, but this didn't bother us too much as the beds were so comfy.

This small countryside accommodation was perfect for our weekend away. the room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly. the breakfast was amazing, we particularly liked the locally sourced bacon and sausage. the location was also perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings.
The thin walls meant that we could hear our neighbours at times, which made it difficult to fully relax.

The shower had a poor spray pattern, but we forgot to mention it to the innkeeper for a chance to fix it.
